Brings together music from three well-known guitarists and composers from the end of the 18th century and beginning of the 19th century, which need no introduction: Fernando Sor, Mauro Giuliani and Dionísio Aguado. And also music by Nicolas Alfonso, guitarist and composer whose guitar method (1960) was part of the collections of pieces that many guitar students from the second half of the 20th century knew very well.

Guitar music from Renaissance to 21st Century.

This album features nine sets of contrasting musical pieces, arranged as small suites in different keys, composed by Matteo Cracassi and present in his method Op 59 published in 1836. It also features the 15 Übungsstück (studies) writen by Johann Kaspar Mertz, published in his didactic work “Schule für die Guitarre”, In 1848.
